Born in Leipzig, Diana persisted (perhaps pestered) her parents until they finally succumbed to allowing her to learn piano at the age of eight. During adolescence, she started classes in classical guitar and singing. Since her early school days up to this very day, Diana continues her experience performing on stage and has also had lead roles in diverse musicals including, Oliver!, Little Shop of Horrors, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and others. After graduating high school, Diana studied music pedagogy in the Dr. Hoch Conservatory and Vocal Jazz division at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. At the Federal Music Academy of Trossingen in the Black Forest, she expanded her studies to include main-stream music and band coaching. Defying her classical training, Diana indulged in the harder side of music in her early adolescence. Bands that influenced her the most include Metallica, Sepultura, Korn, Devildriver, Slipknot and Soulfly. For three years, she fronted the metalcore band ‘Faint of Enemy’ as singer and screamer. At present, Diana is working as a personal vocal coach and as docent at a music school. Diana specializes in the researching and teaching of various singing techniques in the Rock and Metal genres.
